Hurray!!!!
UNIMAID ALUMNI IN DIASPORA REUNION 2019 !!!!!

Unimaid’s enduring legacy is embodied in us: each one a pioneer blazing a trail, each one opening up pathways for others to follow, each one a productive member of the global society. We are all stars in the constellations that have shone brilliantly for the University’s 44-year of existence.

We all have our unique Unimaid stories, but these stories are not complete without reflecting on the kindness shown to us during our days at UMIMAID. The kindness felt in the little things: from our lecturers to our classmates, our roommates, the suya spot, the ‘OAU Walk’ with its cascading trees as the custodians of our secrets and youthful adventures. Unforgettable!!!!!

The amazing community that embraced us with generosity of knowledge, friendship and fortitude, regardless of our religion and ethnicity, is engraved in our hearts.

Today we must do the same for our beloved University; we must support our Alma Mater. Let us pause to look back at the past and reflect on all that we have done and become as we get ready for our forthcoming 2019 Reunion. We hope you feel a sense of urgency to support our Alma Mater. We hope this moment reminds us that now is not the “Time To Rest;” Now is the time to band together and give back to the University that not only gave us our footing, but has withstood the test of time and a deadly insurgency; and is yet unbowed.  A beacon of light in the darkness, opening paths for others, so success can beget even more success. That is our ‘ENDURING LEGACY’…….

Join us on June 27- 29, 2019 to create an Enduring Legacy with your support. For registration and more information, please visit our website: www.unimaiddiasporaalumni.org

Welcome to our website. UNIMAID is synonymous with great education. UNIMAID Alumni belong to a club of the brightest and best-prepared people in the nation.

SMART BOARD Sponsorship Opportunities

Our 2019 University of Maiduguri Alumni in Diaspora Reunion Convention will take place in the State of Maryland at BWI Airport Marriott, 1743 W Nursery Rd, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090 from June 27th to June 30th, 2019. This annual event will support our Alma Mater by raising funds to provide “Smart Boards” to class rooms to enhance learning and teaching experiences for the students as well as the teachers. Our alma mater has been a target for various terrorist attacks, and the school and its environment have been subjected to the deleterious effects of a protracted war. Our forthcoming reunion will provide us the opportunity to contribute our quota to support our ENDURING LEGACY.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 for this initiative.

We are seeking corporate sponsors, local businesses and individuals to donate monetary contributions or services, raffle and silent auction items, including tickets and perks, food and drinks. All proceeds will benefit Unmaid in Diaspora ‘Smart Board’ initiative. Your donation will be recognized publicly at our event and on our website.

We are a 501c3 organization, all donations are tax deductible.
